Exit at J38 (Tebay). Take the A685 east signposted to Brough. After about 7 miles turn right into the village of Ravenstonedale. Pass the Kings Head Hotel on your right. Turn next right. After passing the tennis court on your left and the school on your right the road bears left. After 100 meters there is a narrow lane on the left (opposite the Black Swan Hotel on the right). Take into this lane which forks into 2 lanes after a short distance. Take the left lane. After about 1/2 mile there is a lane on the left that leads to Ashfell Farm and Snowdrop Cottage.

From A1
Take the A66 west from Scotch corner to Brough. Turn south at Brough on the A685 towards Kirkby Stephen. Continue through Kirkby Stephen. After about 2 miles take a left turn signposted to Sedbergh. After another 2 miles take the first turn on the right along a narrow country lane. After 1/2 mile the road forks. Keep left over a cattle grid. After another 1/4 mile the road forks again. Take the lane on the right. Follow this lane past Blae Flatt Farm on the left. After a further 200 yards turn right uphill on a lane that leads to Ashfell Farm and Snowdrop Cottage.
